Permits and access: verify, do not assume
The Ağrı Governorship’s mountain page says that ascents of Ağrı and Little Ağrı are subject to permission. [S1] That statement is important, but it is not a current permit decision for a reader. Requirements, route arrangements, documentation, security rules and responsible offices can change. This page therefore does not claim a fixed procedure, lead time, fee or contact.
Where to verify
Begin with the official Ağrı Governorship website and its current contact channels. Ask which authority is competent for the date, nationality, intended area and activity. If another public body is named, use that body’s own current instructions rather than a copied summary. Keep the answer in writing where possible and record its date.

- Is access currently permitted for the intended mountain area and route?
- Which permission, registration or notice—if any—applies to this traveller and date?
